The Format

We will use a simple format for our debates on Twitter, the same is explained below:

1. There will be 2 teams, Team A (Affirmative) and Team N (Negative), there will be 4 participants A1, A2, N1, and N2.
2. We shall use 3 types of speeches, 1) Constructive, 2) Rebuttal, and 3) Cross Fire. In Constructive Speeches new issues can be introduced. Rebuttal speech can only advance & refine a previously made point but Rebuttal speech can't start on an entirely new direction. Cross fire speech is what it says, both speakers can either ask or answer questions.
3. There will be time allotted to each speech and speeches must be delivered within the time limit. Interruptions are not allowed, out of turn speeches are not allowed as well. Other than that everything else is game.
4. Debate round begins with A1 giving a Constructive Speech (5 mins), followed by N1 giving a Constructive speech (5 mins). Followed by Cross fire round betwn A1 and N1 (4 mins).
5. Followed by Constructive speeches by A2 and N2 (5 mins each), followed by Cross fire round between A2 and N2 (4 mins).
6. That would be followed by Rebuttal speech of A1 and N1 (4 mins each). Followed by a General Cross fire round between all 4 members (4 mins).
7. The debate round will culminate in Rebuttal speeches by A2 followed by N2 (4 mins each).
8. The winner of the debate round will be decided by an audience twitpoll.

PS: Since the format is a work-in-progress, we are open to suggestions/feedback of ANY nature.
